Backstroke & Freestyle Technical Clinic at Carleton University

We are pleased to announce an upcoming clinic with coach Wlad. 

This clinic is ideal for swimmers who already meet performance standards and are ready to take their skills to the next level. The clinic will target drills, provide personalize feedback, and expert instruction, participants will learn how to maximize power, streamline movement, and correct common inefficiencies skills that can make a real difference in race performance.

This clinic is led by Coach Wladmilson Ramos Veiga

Coach Wlad is a Level 3 certified coach in Canada and former Head Coach of the Brazilian National Team. With over 35 years of experience, he has trained swimmers who competed in the last three Olympic Games, as well as medalists and finalists at the Pan American GamesJunior World ChampionshipsYouth Olympic Games, and South American Championships. Coach Wlad is known for his ability to connect with swimmers, identify key areas for improvement, and deliver results. This clinic is a rare opportunity to learn from a coach who has helped athletes succeed on the world stage.

He holds advanced degrees in Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, Swimming Science, and Physical Training, and completed a one-year internship at the High Performance Sports Center in Canberra, Australia (Australian Institute of Sport). His expertise spans biomechanics, lactate testing, altitude training, and athlete development.
